# Dividend Tracker

Unlike many crypto assets, tokenized stocks on Realio can represent real underlying equity that distributes dividends.

## How Dividends Work

Dividends are typically distributed by the issuer to the token holders. The mechanism depends on the token standard:

* **Multiplier Mechanism**: Some tokens (like those following the ERC-8056 proposal) increase the "multiplier" of your balance, so you hold more tokens over time.
* **Direct Airdrop**: Other issuers may airdrop stablecoins (like USDC) to holders at the time of the dividend record date.

## Tracking Your Earnings

Navigate to the **Portfolio → Dividends** tab to see:

* **Upcoming Dividends**: Based on ex-dividend dates of underlying stocks.
* **Accumulated Dividends**: Total value received since your first holding.
* **Yield Analysis**: Annualized yield based on your current portfolio composition.

## Supported Stocks

Most major ETFs (SPY, QQQ) and blue-chip stocks (AAPL, MSFT) that pay dividends in traditional markets will also distribute them to tokenized holders on Realio.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.realio.finance/features/dividend-tracker.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
